Colours and fragrances of spring in the upper mountains

A tour among rhododendrons, St Bruno’s lilies, orchids, forget-me-nots, primroses, asters and pansies in an absolute explosion of colours and scents covering slopes, rocks and meadows. A unique show, renowned among botanists and mentioned in history books during the transit of Napoleon’s troops. A trip full of beauty and tradition.

  • Physical preparation and equipment:

    Activities for all. We require a minimum level of preparation necessary to walk on trail two hours in ascent and in descent about 1.30. There will be another 2 hours to observe and photograph the blooms. Own means or with public transportation shuttles only during special events. Cameras, video cameras and binoculars own.
    Supply, including in the price, of the organization of: magnifiers for close observation, paper documentation on plant species visible in the area and maps of the place.

Climb up with their own transportation to Pessé Perloz (1,307 m) where the farm road is open to traffic.
In case of closure of the same, starting from to Fey Dessus (1,100 m), reaching Pessé (1,307 m) in 0.5 hours of walking on country road or trail.
Continuing, with two hours of walking, we arrive at Fenêtre Col (1,673 m).
Visit the botanical site of the hill and picnic lunch.Descent from the hill to the village Pessé: 1.5 hours.
Tour the village and observation of flowering pastures: 1 hour.
