Central Valley: the pleasure of culture, the culture of pleasure

History, culture, agriculture, botany and geology: there is probably no other place in the Valle d’Aosta presenting such natural wealth comparable to that of the central valley. Here nature rhymes with culture: at Farys you will discover the monumental plant of the Vitis vinifera “Petit Rouge” and those of the parks of Baron Gamba and the Passerin D’Entrèves Castle. The real star of the show is, however, the Orchid path, an authentically natural spectacle that unfolds every spring. The area in which the castles of Châtillon and St. Denis were built (with Roman antecedents), is also the main territory for the famous “thyme of Valle d’Aosta”, Thymus vulgaris, and of the Vallée d'Aoste Chambave Muscat flétri, excellent sweet wine.
